I guess one of the issues is whether or not this group of Old Believers in Russia collaborated with the Soviets. Это уже второй визит Святейшего Патриарха Александра в Грецию. Первый состоялся два года тому назад:

Интерес к диалогу с Русской Древлеправославной Церкви со стороны ИПЦ обусловлен прежде всего происхождением ее иерархии от основателей и выдающихся деятелей Русской (Катакомбной) Истинно-Православной Церкви - схиепископа Петра Ладыгина и всего круга епископов рукоположенных Арх. Андреем Уфимским.
В отличии от утративших Апостольское Преемство и Апостольское Исповедание Веры РПЦЗ и МП, иерархия РДЦ никогда не состояла в общении с еретиками-экуменистами. В рамках Богословского диалога уже на данный момент можно говорить о полном догматическом единомыслии Церквей, единомыслии в отношении к современным схизмоересям. Остаются вопросы исторического плана: выработка честной и непредвзятой оценки разделения в Русской Православной Церкви 17 века, вопроса о перстосложении и других. Если на то есть воля Божия и добрая воля со стороны всех участников диалога можно надеяться, что эти вопросы будут решены.

Patriarch Alexander also had dialogue in October with another group of Greek Old Calendarists, the Synod headed by Archbishop Makarios of Athens.

October 2008 = Meeting of our Sacred Synod with a delegation from a group of Old Believers
  • On October 8 (O.C.) a meeting took place in the offices of the Sacred Synod of members of our hierarchy with a delegation from a group of Old Believers in Russia led by their primate, Patriarch Alexander (Kalinin). This meeting was the result of the communication between a member of our Synod with his equivalent in the above jurisdiction.
The Press Office of the Sacred Synod reported that the meeting had an informational character and consequently no concrete subjects were discussed. Finally, after the exchange of symbolic gifts between the two primates it was agreed to continue the informal communication aiming toward beginning an official dialogue provided this was decided by both parties.
