The book "Grigorievo vision" represents an extract from a handwritten menology Holy Metropolitan Macarius of Moscow (The Life and partly a tale of miracles prepodobnago Basil Novy and his vision of student Gregory ").

This work was very popular in Russia, and the second half of XVII century. acquired a second birth in the Old Believers environment, which was associated primarily with expressive eschatology contained in this work and coincides with the expectation of the Old Believers near the end of the world.

From the XVII-XIX centuries. reached hundreds of lists of literary monument, it was part of various collections and flower beds, and the end of XVIII century. repeatedly issued clandestine printing-Old Believer, separate plots were reflected in the Old Believers' hand-drawn and printed splints.
