This was an international meeting about the scientific
and practical history of Old Believers.
The meeting took place at the university in Vilnius.
The guests included author Ron Robinson who lives and works in Philadelphia
(whose mother is Russian and father American).
One of his books is, Old Believers in Modern Russia.
There were interviews with instructors
and present heads of communities.
They spoke about the life of these conservatives,
about the basic problems that have taken a toll on
and changed the Old Believers today.

Here is a video about ikon painting today, but there is not really much of an example of good icon painters left in such days as we live in. Many of the modern style ikons shown here are obvious heresy. The teachers here are women that cut their hair, men who shave or trim their beards, etc. We should know what to expect, but still there are a few things they get right, like we really should not say much about ikons, they are sacred things. It is in Russian with English subtitles.
